As He Aged 1 More Year...

I know this feed-by-himself behavior happens very rarely, as a 3 years old boy, Caden had shown us that he is more independent compare to a few months ago.

*sigh* I wish he could stop growing for a while…

Bringing him out without any helper is now possible for me. I could tell him to stay near my sight or even ask him to help me out finding something. He listens to instructions quite a bit recently.

Caden is a very helpful, cheerful and always excited for everything.

I like this 3 years old phase. They are still as cute, but not as independent as the older ones.

Food update, he is still a very picky eater. But I should give him credit by wanting to try out most of the food that we offer him, although he doesn’t like them most of the time.

His loves for milk in still unchanged. He drinks about 1500ml per day and loves all kinds of milk.

3 Years Old

Caden is 3 years old today and since I knew that we will only be back at 10pm last night from Gold Coast, we decided that there will not be any big party this year.

Today I let him rest at home, too.

But tomorrow, we will have a small party at school.

I can't imagine that he is 3 already. He is so big now. He was only weighing 2.9kg not long a go...and now he is as tall as my waist and weighing 17kg and very talkative.

I am hoping he won't grow too fasttt.... I hope he will always be mommy's little boy [*yeah...dream on...*]

Fish Feeding

Quite boring for us as the fish was small and not colorful. Caden enjoyed himself as usual...

Great Beach... I Must Say...

Looking forward to more adventures today.

Sunset Tour to a Nearby Island

There was not much we can do today as we arrived here in Hayman at 2.30pm.

Our personal butler, John, recommend us to go for a sunset tour to nearby island. Basically, we what we’ll do is to see and enjoy the sunset.

We were brought there by a small boat. Took us only about 15 minutes to reach the tiny island and we waited!!

The wind was strong and it was a little bit chilly for us, though there were some old ladies (about my grandma’s age), just done with swimming and were only using their swimsuits and towels.

There was nothing there. We were dropped off with food, towels and 2 big umbrellas.

We were too bored and too cold to wait for the sunset. In the end, we left the island before the sunset. ^_^

Caden was happily playing with us and the sand. He didn’t seem to be bothered by the strong wind. I regretted to not bring his jacket along. I hope he didn’t caught a flu.

Starving: Late Lunch at 3pm

Hayman Island

We went to Hayman Island by a seaplane that we have chattered a while ago. It was the first experience for all of us to be on a seaplane.
.
When I explained to Caden that this plane can land on water, he was a little bit confused and kept asking me, "why mommy? why could this plane land on water??"
.
When in the end the plane landed on the water by the Hayman Island, Caden couldn't stop looking outside and shouted, "we have landed on water, mommy!!"

The island from above was beautiful. Let's just hope it is really a beautiful island to stay in.

Brisbane Airport

Here we were at Brisbane airport again, but this time we were in the domestic terminal.

Virgin Blue will take us to the Hamilton Island, and from there, we will take our chartered plane to the Hayman Island.

Caden is behaving quite well this 2 days, though he cling much more like a glue to me. I hope he will continue be this way until the end of the trip.

Hyatt Downtown Brisbane

While waiting for our taxi to bring us back to the airport.

Holiday...!!!

Off we go to the airport this morning. Our flight is at 9.30am. So we have to leave home at about 7.30am.

The check-in process and the flight to Brisbane, Australia was great. Most importantly, Sasya and Caden were good in the plane.

We are going to stay at Hyatt in downtown Brisbane for a night and will have to catch the next flight to Hamilton Island...and then another flight to Hayman Island.

Plenty of rest tonight and so much fun tomorrow. ^_^

H.O.T Sentosa

Suddenly, Caden told me that he wanted to go to the beach. So we went to Sentosa today, though Vivo City.

We took the monorail and play at the beach side for quite a while.

It was a super hot day, but I think Caden enjoyed it very much.

I spent more of my time under the shade, while daddy accompanied Caden to play.

Quite a number of my friends told me that I am so much darker compare to a few months ago. *oh no…*

Play Nursery Term 3

Today is the end of Term 3. We will be having a one week break next week.

As usual, today is a dress-up party day.

Even though Caden had been accepted at Nayang Kindergarten since middle of this year, I decided to postpone it until next year, when he will be in N2.

Putting money aside, I think it’s better for Caden to be in this Play Nursery class until end of the year before he will go into a totally different kind of school next year. I want him to settle down a little bit more and be confident in the current school, before he moves to a new one.

I can really see that Caden felt more confidence in the current school. I am glad for that. I just hope the transition next year will not be so bad.

At 17kg

Caden is considered big physically for his age. He is currently still in the last stage of the parent-and-child class at The Little Gym.

Teacher Pearl, who wasn’t able to lift Caden up anymore, had advice me to move Caden up to his first gym independent class next term.

She said Caden is independent enough and his body size suits better in the next age group class.

So this would be Caden last day with me in the gym class.

I hope he will be able to follow the teacher’s instructions and do better without me around. [Sometimes I feel he is acting up when I am around].

Mandarin Early Readers Term 3

Today was the last day of term 3. The parents were invited to the class to see the children’s progress.

I really like Julia Gabriel’s approach to introduce the children, in this case, mandarin words/sentence. Both teachers in Caden’s class are also very good and very experience in teaching Mandarin to young children.

Until now I am not so sure if Caden really can read Chinese or he is just simply memorizing it. Whatever it is, I think exposure in Chinese language from young is very important if I want him to be able to speak and write in Mandarin.
