@ Junction 8
We had our breakfast at McDonald in Bishan, Junction 8. Caden finished the whole scrambled egg. I was so surprised! I mean it's not that soft, especially for a porridge person like Caden. I guess, as long as it's egg, we would take it, whatever weird the shape is.

PS: The little girl is Erin, Caden's 3 months old older friend.

Welcome back to school...
Term 3 has start! Yey... Caden looked so happy to be in the class again. As usual, we sang songs, read a book, play, art and craft, play at the playground, and not to forget, snack time...
Caden is now willing to try new snacks. Though he won't touch the slimy ones (like fruits and sausages) yet, at least he is willing to try the dry ones. Some he would spit it out right after he put it in his mouth, but others not. Today, he ate the whole plate of corn flakes by himself.

PS: The pink dot on his face was his token of being able to say the word 'd'.

Shopping with Great-Grandparents
Caden's great grandparents are here for a week. They had to do their regular check-up. Between the doctor appointment, of course there are still time to catch the last bit of the Great Singapore Sale.
After two hours of shopping, Nai Nai (Great Grandma) found two very comfortable shoes and a white leather bag, while Kongco (Great Grandpa) bought a sling bag to put his water bottle and passport while travelling.
.
While we were in the shoes department, being a very helpful one, Caden was helping Nai Nai to pick her best shoes. He ran to the other end and managed to pick up some nice shoes (according to his eyes -- with a very bright colors, high heels and other fancy stuffs on them) and run back while screaming "Nai Nai...Nai Naiiii...." and gave the shoes to her to try on.
.
Thank you Caden! ^_^

No mommy, no problem...
Mommy went back to Jakarta for the weekend (Monday – Tuesday). I was actually trying to test myself (and Caden) on how the two of us would survive this world without each other for my 2 weeks trip to US in August. =p
Apparently, we survived pretty well! We did call a few times a day and did a video call when both sides are available to go online.
Caden was so occupied with oma's (my mom) company that he forgot all about mommy. He went to The Little Gym Camp, grocery shopping, lunch and play at home together with Oma.
My US trip is getting closer. I am getting more nervous each day. I am starting to feel it’s too long to leave Caden for 2 weeks. I tried to change the ticket a few weeks ago but it’s all fully booked!!! I have no choice than to stick to the original plan.
I just hope that closer to the dates, Caden would be healthy and well and ready to be left for 2 weeks. I am trying all the best I can to prepare him for this trip. Wish me luck!

on Friday the 13th
We have to treasure this kind of moment. Tommorow at 10pm, Paul has to leave Singapore and won't be back until the 27 of June. Thirteen (13) days without seeing him. I am sure Caden (and mommy) will miss him a lot!
.
.
Caden loves to play peek-a-boo very much! He would say, "ba" (instead of "boo") everytime we say "Where is Caden??" and appearing right in front of our eyes, like as if he is saying "I am here!!"
Suntec City Fountain
Daddy came at 7.30am today from Dubai. We had lunch at Suntec City since daddy needed to come to the Singapore office for a little while.
.
We've been here many times, but today was the first time that the fountain water was on (usually only a small little part of it --the one in the middle, shown in the picture, too -- was turn on).

Kung Fu Panda
I need a break, mommy!
We came to The Little Gym camp today. It was a 90 minutes class, full with snacks and fun time! But half way through the class, he told me that he wanted to go outside. I was quite surprise (this is the first time he has done this).
When we were outside, he asked for this toy (in pictures), the toy that he always plays before the class start.
I am not so sure, but he looked like he needed some time by himself alone for a while. It was a full class so it was packed and noisy.
He was out only for about 5 minutes or so, then he was the one who ran back to the class to continue his favorite gym class.

Too much of Daddy last week??
Caden had a really great time with daddy last week (and oh… mommy, too!). For the whole 10 days, daddy was FULLY his. He would look for daddy every time after he woke up. And as daddy has limited amount of work this week, daddy had given all his time for Caden!
[I didn’t really play with Caden last week. I was at home most of the time, but I would be either in front of my computer or doing something in the house.]
Daddy even went to Jurong Bird Park with us!! How amazing!! – considering that daddy is a very very (let me emphasis this again ) VERY indoor person.
Daddy was also the one who reads books to Caden every night before sleep (doing sort of what I called: cool down time), and I only came in when it’s almost time to sleep. We then pray together and I put Caden on his crib to be doing all sort of talking and somersault before he sleeps, in usually about half an hour to one hour time.
But this week Caden has to pay the price!!!
I truly believe that he misses daddy a lot. Monday he was okay, but yesterday and today were a disaster. It took him 2 hours to sleep at night (after hearing his screaming and crying, I told Suster that I will be the one who put Caden to bed).
Day times are also different. Something always seemed not right. He would cried right after his two-hour nap and asking for something that no one understand. One time, I then I asked him if he wanted to see “ciattt….” -- that’s what he called the Panda from the Kung Fu Panda movie.
When he said yes, off we go to Shaw Center Lido to see the poster of it (I don’t let him watch the movie, though). But making him to change his clothes and to put on shoes was a struggling effort. He kept wailing and crying for …. I don’t know what!!!
He called “daddy” (and signing it) a lot of time this past few days. Just now, he called “daddy” (and singing it), then he took a book that I knew he was reading it with daddy on the last night with daddy before he left (Sunday).
Poor Caden!!!… I am so sorry!!!
[Mommy cried a few times, too!!]
Possible solution: I decided that we will definitely buy a WebCam so Caden could see his daddy pretty much anytime he wants. I hope this will help him ease the pain. And I hope this seperation will not go on forever. *finger crossed*

First Experience: At a Temple
We dropped by to this temple on the way back to the car from the audition place. I was just curious to see what's inside as a lot of people (most are Caucasian) were go in and out and taking pictures of this temple. Maybe this one is one of the well-known one in Singapore?
.
They were having prayer session. A monk was sitting in the centre of the big hall and was using a mike while saying the prayers by looking at a very thick book, which I assume is their sort of Bible, while the rest of the people there were joining him to read the book.
When I was young, when my grandparents from my dad side was still alive, we used to go to a temple at least twice a year. I also remember when their died, we have to burn them in a Buddist stlye.
Both of my parents are Christian, so since my grandparents' death and since I live outside Jakarta to further my studies, I never went there anymore. This temple reminds me of the old times, although mostly what I did in the temple is playing with my cousins. ^_^
PS: Caden maybe confused, he was keeping quiet throughout our journey inside and outside the temple. hehe..

GAIN Milk Powder Audition
Mommy received a call last Friday. A woman named Patricia asked me if I am interested in auditioning Caden for Gain Milk Powder advertisement.
I told her, “Suree!!”
As I said before, auditions are always great. I never rejected auditions. I love to see how Caden react with different types of new people around him. Agreeing to take the role is a different story. I will have to filter the ones that don’t mess Caden’s nap time and doesn’t take too much of his play time as well.
Today, at 1 pm, Caden was doing extremely well for the audition. He smiled, he played with himself, he looked at the camera, he was very friendly with the people there, and he did not cling to me AT ALL!!
*I was surprised but very happy*
Of course I am sure that there will be other kids who do better than him, but I am just so happy to see him very happy at this audition.
Furthermore, I am not sure if this advertisement will do good for Caden. Gain is one of the big brands in milk powder and I am sure they want their advertisement to look really well. They might have a demanding hours for the shooting.
Hm… I only can hope that, if Caden get selected, they are willing to do the shooting at Caden’s wake up times.

on the FINAL day
Although suster and I thought that Caden had done a great job today at the Final round (or is it a bias perspective from Caden's supporters?? =p), Caden did not get chosen to be the top three babies for the Baby Pampers of the year contest.
So, like 13 other contestants, we received a consolation prize.
.
Despite of that, I should give Caden a credit for being able to do well on stage, especially with the dancing that he did. That stage and the many many spectators gives me (and even suster) a chill!!
.
This kind of event is good for Caden to boost his confidence level. As for my side, I would keep encouraging him not to be scared to be on stage and do his very best up there, and whatever the outcome will be, mommy will always be on his side.
.
PS: We brought our camera today!! Very similar thing happen on Friday, it's just instead of given consolation prize, we got a letter that congratulate us to be in the Final round and to come back on Sunday.

We got into Final...!!
A few months ago, mommy sent Caden’s picture to Motherhood magazine and Caden was selected to be one of the ten pampers babies in the month of March 2008.
Then, we have to attend the contest which was held today at 2pm, complete with Judges (3 of them), a stage, and a whole lot of crowds.
I should say that Caden did a great job considering this was his first time to be in a so high up stage (the stage was as tall as me!!). My heart was pumping was, though.
Unfortunately, suster and I thought that we forgot to bring the camera with us (I was so mad at myself). But when we could not find it at home, I realized that I had left it in a car!!! *more mad!!*
Anyway, so here we were, taking pictures at our garage!!! ;)
But, I was glad that Caden is gotten into the Final round (we have to show up again on Sunday). Although he might not get it to the top three (I hope he will, though ^_^), at least we still able to take pictures of him on the stage. Hehe…

When Daddy is at home
How nice it is to have Daddy for one whole week at home. Daddy was supposed to go to Jakarta but the project got cancelled at the last minute. So this week was suppose to be a transition week for him
With not much work has to be done at the Singapore office, daddy could come home early or went to the office at later hours. Basically, Caden (and mommy) has much of daddy's attention this week.
Butt....after this week, daddy's project will be in Dubai. With the time difference, the 8 hours of flight, and Sundays working day (but not on Fridays), daddy will only be in Singapore from Friday morning until Saturday night. :(
and that's not all....for the next 1.5 - 2 months, daddy would only be here every other week. So in 14 days, Caden would only meet daddy for 2 days?? *mommy shaking head for 5 minutes*

from grocery shopping
at a friend's house
We went to a friend's house this morning. Caden's friend, Noah, had just have a baby brother named Johan two weeks ago.
Caden and Noah had fun playing (and fighting toys, claiming that those are theirs).
Noah had this very interesting Thomas the Train toys that will move in our direction if we blow a whistle. Both of them are blowing whistles and confusing Thomas as to which way to go.
